Privacy Policy
Music-Discovery respects your privacy. This application does not collect, store, or share any personal data from its users. The app operates entirely on the user's device and does not transmit any data externally.
Complete Privacy & Local Processing:
• All setlist searches and music matching happens locally on your Mac
• No files are uploaded to any server
• No personal data is collected or transmitted
• No analytics, tracking, or telemetry
• Your music library stays completely private
• CSV files are processed entirely offline
File Access
Music-Discovery requires access to your music files only to:
- Scan and analyze audio files for metadata (artist, title)
- Match songs against setlist searches
- Read CSV files containing song lists
- Export results to text files
The app only accesses files and folders you explicitly select. No background scanning or unauthorized file access occurs.
Data Processing
All data processing is performed locally on your device:
- File paths and metadata are stored temporarily in memory during scanning
- Theme preferences and custom wallpapers are saved locally using macOS UserDefaults
- Search history is not stored between sessions
- No internet connection is required or used for core functionality
Data Persistence: Music-Discovery only saves your theme preference and custom wallpaper between sessions. All search results and music lists are cleared when you close the application.

This software, Music-Discovery, is proprietary software. All rights reserved. The developer retains full ownership of the codebase, design, algorithms, and all associated intellectual property.
This software is protected under Romanian and international copyright laws. Unauthorized use, duplication, reverse engineering, or distribution of this software is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Use of Apple Technologies
Music-Discovery utilizes technologies and frameworks provided by Apple, including but not limited to:
- SwiftUI for user interface
- AVFoundation for audio file metadata extraction
- AppKit for macOS integration
- FileManager for file operations
These frameworks are proprietary to Apple and are used in compliance with the Apple Developer Program License Agreement. All rights to these technologies remain with Apple Inc.
Proprietary License
Music-Discovery is distributed under a proprietary license with the following terms:
- No Reproduction: No part of this software, including its codebase, algorithms, design, and associated assets, may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted without prior written permission from the developer.
- No Modification: Reverse engineering, decompilation, disassembly, or modification of the software is strictly prohibited.
- Exclusive Distribution: The software is available exclusively through authorized channels (App Store). Unauthorized replication or redistribution is illegal and will result in legal action.
- Algorithm Protection: The setlist matching algorithms and search optimization techniques used in this software are proprietary and protected intellectual property.

End User License Agreement (EULA)
By purchasing, downloading, and using Music-Discovery, you agree to the following terms:
Grant of License
- You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use this software for personal or business purposes on devices you own or control.
- The license is tied to your Apple ID and the devices associated with it.
- You may install the software on multiple devices linked to your Apple ID, as permitted by the App Store terms.
Restrictions
- You may not distribute, sell, lease, rent, lend, or sublicense the software.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code.
- You may not remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the software.
- You may not use the software for any illegal purposes or in violation of any laws.
User Responsibilities
- Proper Usage: Use the app for legitimate music organization and setlist preparation purposes.
- File Compatibility: Ensure your audio files have proper metadata tags for best results.
- System Compatibility: Ensure your Mac meets the minimum system requirements.
- CSV Format: Use properly formatted CSV files when importing song lists.
Limitation of Liability
Music-Discovery is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
The developer shall not be liable for:
- Any data loss or corruption of files
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
- Business interruption or system downtime
- Any damages arising from the use or inability to use the software
- Inaccurate search results or missed matches
This limitation applies even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Maximum Liability: In no event shall the developer's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the software license.
No Warranty
This software is provided without any warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or completeness of setlist matching
- Error-free operation across all systems and configurations
The developer does not guarantee that:
- The software will meet all your requirements
- The software will be uninterrupted or error-free
- All songs will be matched with 100% accuracy
- The software will be compatible with all hardware and software configurations
Updates and Support
The developer may provide updates, bug fixes, and improvements at its discretion. Updates may:
- Add new features or functionality
- Fix bugs or improve performance
- Modify or remove existing features
- Require acceptance of updated terms
Updates are provided "as is" without warranty. Continued use of the software after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes to these terms.
Termination
This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and delete all copies.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Romania and the European Union. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Romania.
Consumer Rights
These terms do not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law, including EU consumer protection laws. In case of conflict, consumer protection laws shall prevail.
Changes to Terms
The developer reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
